Life in MIT can get tough sometimes, really tough. The most important thing to remember is that there are people here who are ready to support you through your day-to-day life, and that there are many organizations in MIT that are ready to help anyone in need. Some of them have representatives here in New Vassar:
MedLinks
MedLinks serve as liaisons between MIT students and MIT Medical. We can answer questions about MIT Medical’s policies and services or help you figure out when and how to connect with other MIT resources. We can also provide single doses of common over-the-counter medications, first-aid materials, and safer-sex supplies to students living in campus residences. Whether you need a bandage or someone friendly to talk to, MedLinks are here to help you. Website Link: MedLinks.
Pleasure
Started in 2015, Pleasure is a student-led effort to promote healthy relationships and reduce sexual violence at MIT. Peer Educators act as leaders to facilitate discussions about a variety of relationship and sexual health topics. Educators are also empowered to support their fellow students with information and guidance about sexual health and relationship concerns. There is one Pleasure Educator here in New Vassar, Kyna McGill (kyna@mit.edu). Website Link: Pleasure
